This roof basket can carry about 165 pounds, but keep in mind your own capabilities for your own roof. So your own roof might not be able to carry that much weight. And then also think about the weight of the roof rack as well, 'cause that's gonna count towards your own roof's weight limit. Also the total height we have right now is gonna give you almost an additional 10 inches above your roof. So keep that in mind if you're going anywhere with a low clearance, especially if you're gonna have anything in here as well. more

Thule Canyon XT is great for those situations where inside your Grand Caravan you either need more space, don't have enough space, where you can carry your luggage, your gear, your sporting goods, your camping equipment, anything on the roof of your vehicle and frees up a little space inside your vehicle.Now like most things that you can put on your roof, they're gonna get noisy. Now this does help to cut down the noise with the included frame that comes pre installed on our actual roof basket. Right now we have attached aero bars but this will also work with square, round, elliptical and most factory roof racks as well. You can see at the end here there's a plastic lock. That can be replaced with a Thule lock core which is sold separately, so you can secure this to your roof rack system but you can also purchase several of these and make a key to like with your roof rack system as well.It provides several tie down points on the side here as well as below to help keep your gear secure and not moving. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to be test fitting the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part number C18115. The Curt Cargo Basket is great for solving those problems such as not enough space inside our Grand Caravan, or we need to make more space in our Grand Caravan by loading up our luggage, sporting goods, or camping gear up on the roof.There's plenty of space for storage with the cargo basket being 41 1/2 inches long by 37 inches wide and by 4 inches tall. That four inches is consistent all the way around the cargo basket unlike some others which can have that kind of curve to it so you lose a little bit towards the rear. This can carry up to 150 pounds of cargo, although you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand those weights and go by its recommendation. Also, traveling with these cargo baskets or pretty much anything on your roof, you're going to encounter a lot of noise while you drive. But the Curt basket here does come included with this fairing up at the front which is going to help quiet down some of that while you drive.Looking how we secured this to our roof basket, there are plenty of spots both along the side and beneath to tie down your gear. more

Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video

Today on our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're gonna be testing the Rhino Rack roof-mounted cargo basket, part number RMCB. This measures 47 inches long by 35 inches wide by five and a half inches tall, and has a carrying capacity of 165 pounds, although you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure that your roof can withstand that weight. It does have an aerodynamic shape to it, plus it has a fairing installed on the front, which is gonna cut down on the wind noise and drag while you're driving, and this will work with, as you see here, factory cross bars, as well as square, round, elliptical, and aero. It's very easy to install, and we'll show you how the last bracket goes on. We're gonna come here to the back corner of the driver's side, where we already have our plastic piece installed between the cargo basket itself and the crossbars. We also have our metal piece installed in the top here, and it just pushes into place like so. We'll put our bolts through, and these are Allen-head bolts, like so, and then we'll take our bottom bracket, line it up, and start tightening our bolts down. Some things that this can actually be used for are anything from sporting goods equipment to camping equipment, anything wet you want to keep out of your vehicle, or just anything you want to keep out of your vehicle to make more space for you and your family as you travel. Try not to lose the tightening tool as you're tightening it. more

Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango, we are test fitting the Thule Trail roof cargo basket. Dimensions are 63x39.5, with about 6 inches deep. The weight capacity is about 165 pounds, but you do want to check and make sure in your owner's manual, for your vehicle, that it does have the capacity to hold that much on it's roof. As you can see, we do have our back two on the driver's side, and our back one on the passenger's side already clipped in. We're just going to show you how to connect the front here. It is the same way for all three, but it's easier to show you just one. You can see this metal piece right here, you want to make sure that's at about the middle of your crossbars, and keep them lose enough whenever you're putting the basket on so you can adjust it for your crossbars. more

Today on our 2015 Dodge Durango, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule Canyon Rooftop Mounted Cargo Basket. Part number TH859. This cargo basket's going to measure 49 inches long, 40 inches wide, have a depth of 6 inches, and with the sturdy steel construction is going to offer a 150 pound weight capacity. We already have two of our feet in place, around our current crossbar. These are going to be your factory crossbars as well. Just note that it does come with multiple bolts and attachments so you can put it on your square bars, round bars, elliptical bars, aero-type bars and the factory ones like you see here. The first thing you are going to need to do, before you place it up on top of the vehicle, is space out your brackets to whatever the center-to-center crossbar spread is of your bars. If you just take a regular measuring tape, measure from one side, to the same point on the other side to get that distance. more

Today on our 2008 Dodge Durango, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon Rooftop Mounted Cargo Basket. This will be part number TH859 and it's going to be 49 inches long, 40 inches wide, have a depth of 6 inches and with its sturdy steel construction, it's going to have that 150 pound weight capacity and as you can see we've already got 3 of our feet installed up on top of our Thule Aero Blades. We're going to show you how to space it out to where you can have . We're going to show you how to place on that last foot on the side here once we get up on top of the vehicle. Now I'm going to talk about first before we get up there and start putting it in place is that you need to make sure that you space out your feet by the use of those two Allen bolts and you are going to space it out from the center of center of your crossbars. From this crossbar spread it's going to be 26 inches and you are going to need to have a crossbar spread between 24 and 32 inches. This one we'll set it at 26, we're going to move this and set them from the center of the circle in the middle of the bracket to the circle of the other one 26 inches that way when we get it up there it's going to be an easy application and we'll only going to need to switch that once we get it on another vehicle. All right let me get up top here and we'll show you how we are going to do this. more

Just make sure that before you put it up on your vehicle, that you adjust the feet using the Allen tool included and you're going to adjust those to whatever your crossbar spread is. Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2014 Dodge Avenger- Video

Today, on our 2014 Dodge Avenger, we're going to test fitting the Thule Moab, the mother of all baskets rooftop cargo carrier, part # TH690XT. We're going to begin our test fit with our rack assembled according to the manufacturer's instructions, and the lower half of our clamps separated from the upper. We'll now place our basket directly onto our cross bars, remove the carriage bolt and the wing nut, bring the clamp around the underside of our cross bar, reinsert our carriage bolt and secure it in place using the wing nut. On each clamp, we'll have 2 wing nuts we'll want to tighten down. We'll now move to the remaining 3 clamps and repeat the same tightening process that we've used on this one. With all 4 of our clamps secure, we'll now grab our black plastic covers, clip them over each one. Just like that, we're ready to load up our basket and hit the road. That will complete today's test fit of the Thule Moab, part # TH690XT, on our 2014 Dodge Avenger. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan well be test-fitting the Yakima Load Warrior rooftop cargo basket, part #Y07070.Now our vehicle is already equipped with a factory roof rack system. To begin our test fit well simply place the cargo basket on to the vehicles cross bars. Well then loosen up the wing nuts to bring the brackets around the underside of the cross bar. Insert the T-bolt into the bracket. Tighten the black knob to secure the carrier to the vehicle. Youll need to repeat these steps for all three of the other brackets.Once all the brackets are secured and tightened down youre ready to load up some cargo.That completes todays test fit for the Yakima Load Warrior roof rack cargo basket part #Y07070 on our 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan.. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Dart we'll be test fitting the Yakima Load Warrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket, part number y07070. Now our vehicle is equipped with a Yakima Round Bar Roof Rack System. So to begin our test fit, we'll simply place the roof rack cargo basket onto the vehicles crossbars. Now once the cargo basket is onto the vehicles crossbars we can loosen up the wing nuts to bring the t-bolts around the underside of the black bracket. We'll insert the t-bolt into the black bracket and turn the black wing nut to tighten it down. We'll then repeat these steps for all three of the other brackets. more

Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2013 Dodge Dart- Video

Today, on our 2013 Dodge Dart, we'll be test-fitting the Thule MOAB, also known as the "mother of all baskets," rooftop cargo carrier, part number TH690XT. Now, our vehicle is already equipped with the Thule Aeroblade roof racking system.To begin our test-fit we'll simply place the cargo basket onto the vehicle's load bars. We'll position the carrier onto the load bars and bring the brackets around the underside of the load bars and then loosen up the wing nuts to bring the bolt through the top bracket and reinstall and tighten down the wing nut.We'll then repeat these steps for all three of the other brackets. Today on our 2013 Dodge Ram pickup 1500 series truck, we'll be test fitting the Yakima LoadWarrior roof rack cargo basket, part number Y07070. With our vehicle equipped with the Yakima roof rack system and our cargo basket preassembled, we're ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. We'll need to simply set the cargo basket on top of the cross bars, center it from left to right with the vehicle. We'll then secure it using the included hardware with the basket. With our basket secured, we'll go ahead and give you a height measurement added to the vehicle, and this basket will add approximately 10" to the overall height of the vehicle. Today in our 2011 Dodge Journey, were going to be test fitting the Thule Moab Rooftop Cargo Carrier, part number TH690. With our vehicle already equipped with the Thule Aeroblade Roof Rack System and our Roof Basket already pre-assembled, were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well begin by setting the basket on top of the vehicle across the crossbars. Well then center it from left to right with the vehicle. Once its centered, well go ahead and clamp it down using the provided hardware. And with our hardware all tight, we can now install the hardware covers. more

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2010 Dodge Avenger- Video

Today on our 2010 Dodge Avenger, we'll be test fitting the Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket, part number Y07070. Now with our vehicle equipped with the Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack System and our cargo basket already preassembled, we're ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. We'll simply set the basket on top of the crossbars. We'll center it from left to right. We'll then clamp it down using the included hardware. With the hardware tight, our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle and we're ready to go ahead and load it up. more

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2011 Dodge Avenger- Video

Today on this 2011 dodge avenger, were going to be test fitting the Yakima load warrior roof mounted cargo basket part number y07070. We already have a roof rack system mounted on our avenger. This is a Yakima system with round crossbars, however the load warrior basket is compatible with square bars and most of the oval or OAM crossbars available on the market. We have our basket assembled and put together and now were ready to mount it up on the vehicle. Our avenger uses a crossbar spread of 32 inches which will fit just fine on the last setting of our basket. We want to make sure that our basket is centered from left to right so we have the weight distributed evenly on the roof rack system. more
